Coconut water is the base to this naturally hydrating strawberry lemonade. Coconut water naturally is full of potassium, sodium, and magnesium. These are charged minerals that help you stay hydrated. This is imperative after exercise, and especially during the hot summer months. During pregnancy, electrolytes are important due to hormonal changes, nausea/vomiting, and increased urination.
Recipe:
16 oz coconut water
1 cup frozen strawberries
Juice of one lemon
Honey (local if you have it)
One inch piece of lemon peel
Pinch of Hamalayan sea salt
Blend these ingredients together. Makes two servings.
